Conway Legal Files Action Against Build-A-Bear Workshop Seeking Unpaid Overtime for Store Managers
August 10, 2017 | by J Conway on Not Paid Overtime
Together with co-counsel, Conway Legal today filed suit in federal district court in Philadelphia seeking to recover unpaid overtime on behalf of current and former Store Managers at Build-A-Bear Workshop. The Plaintiff, a former Store Manager who worked in a Pennsylvania location, alleges that Build-A-Bear improperly denied him and other Store Managers – also known as Chief Workshop Managers – overtime compensation for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a workweek, in violation of the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. The Plaintiff seeks to represent all Store Managers who were classified as exempt from overtime who worked for Build-A-Bear throughout the United States between August 10, 2014 and the present. The Plaintiff also seeks to recover unpaid overtime while Store Managers participated in mandatory company training.
